Elegant, Decorated, and Cut Glassware of the Golden Years of Westmoreland 1916-1937
In 1920, George R. West left the company and his younger brother, Charles H. West, became the President. Westmoreland's decorating department expanded to 95 decorators and cutters. Westmoreland shifted its focus to hand-painted, cut, etched, and decorated glass pieces showcasing Westmoreland's artistic craftsmanship. In the 1920-1937, no glass company could compete against Westmoreland's decorating department
