Historical Context
Westmoreland began producing the 1211 line in 1925 which predates Indiana’s Moderne line in the 1930s which incorporated the 1211 creamer and sugar into the Moderne line as Indiana 257. It is most reasonable and logical to assume that Westmoreland sold its blanks to Indiana Glass and Indiana decorated the blanks instead of Indiana recreating the same mould.
