                                            2012 CONVENTION AND SHOW DATES

                DATES FOR THE 2012 ANNUAL CONVENTION AND SHOW HAVE BEEN FINALIZED FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 8 AND SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 2012 AT THE WESTMORELAND COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, YOUNGWOOD, PA. EXHIBITOR SET-UP BEGINS FRIDAY, JUNE 9, 2012 AT 9:00 A.M.  FRIDAY ‘S  SHOW IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY, BEGINNING AT 1:00  P.M.   THE SHOW OPENS TO THE PUBLIC SATURDAY, 9:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M.   MEETING AND BANQUET WILL BE FRIDAY EVENING.   LUNCH AND DINNER FRIDAY AVAILABLE.  NOW IS THE TIME TO CONSIDER ATTENDING AND/OR SETTING UP AT THE SHOW.  THE MORE THE MERRIER!!   THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR SETTING UP AND TABLES AND TABLE COVERINGS ARE FURNISHED BY THE CLUB FREE OF CHARGE. LUNCH FURNISHED TO EXHIBITORS AND MEMBERS ON SATURDAY IS ALSO FREE.   THERE IS NO ADMISSION CHARGE AND FREE AMPLE PARKING IS AVAILABLE.  WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE AS MANY MEMBERS AS ARE ABLE TO ATTEND.    WE HAD AN IMPRESSIVE ATTENDANCE FROM THE PUBLIC AT LAST YEAR’S SHOW AND HOPE FOR THE SAME THIS YEAR.  FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT KEN KOSOGLOW, SHOW CHAIRMAN, 723 744-3418 or kosoglowj@comcast.net

                IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THIS YEAR’S CONVENTION AND HAVE ONE OR SEVERAL PIECES OF GLASS THAT YOU WANT TO OFFER FOR SALE, THE CLUB IS DESIGNATING A TABLE WHERE THESE ITEMS MAY BE DISPLAYED.   THERE IS A LIMIT OF FOUR ITEMS PER MEMBER, PLEASE.  DAMAGED GLASS AND/OR REPRODUCTIONS  ARE NOT PERMITTED.    THIS TABLE WILL BE ATTENDED BY A DULY APPOINTED ATTENDANT.   EACH MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEARLY MARKING HIS/HER ITEMS WITH OWNER’S NAME AND SUGGESTED PRICE.   IF A DISCOUNT IS OFFERED, PLEASE NOTIFY THE TABLE ATTENDANT.   THE OWNER OF ANY UNSOLD ITEM MUST RECLAIM SAME AT THE CLOSE OF THE SHOW.  THE N.W.G.C.C. WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFEKEEPING OR STORAGE OF ANY UNCLAIMED AND UNSOLD ITEMS.


NWGCC News : New meeting place at Persichetti's restaurant.

The National Westmoreland Glass Collectors Club meetings are held at the Persichetti's Restaurant, 101 South 3th Street, Jeannette PA, Phone 724-527-5553, at 7:00 PM on the Second Tuesday of each month. Join us at 6 PM and enjoy a meal and/or dessert, along with good conversation. Meetings are followed by a show-and-tell period, in which we seek to become more informed about this remarkable glassware.

Note: Meetings are no longer held at the Pitzer's Townhouse Restaurant.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the regular monthly meeting of the N.W.G.C.C. has been changed to the third Tuesday of each month at Persichetti's Restaurant, N. Fourth Street, Jeannette, PA. at 7:00 P.M. If desired, a tasty meal can be purchased before the meeting. Hope to see you there.

In 1889 a group of investors took the risk of founding a glass company - it became the Westmoreland Glass Company of Grapeville, Pennsylvania and had a successful history that spanned nearly 100 years. These intrepid individuals did more than start a glass factory - they touched all our lives by giving us the beautiful handmade glassware we collect and cherish today.
