Early Carnival Checkerboard Pitcher and Goblet (Bottom View)

Line 555 Checkerboard (a/k/a Old Quilt) pattern pitcher and goblet in the very rare transclucent root beer carnival color. The photograph shows the bottom of the ware displaying an impressed hobstar on both pieces. When this set was produced later in the 1970s the hobstar was removed and replaced with a plain base and the WG mark was added in the center of the base. Photograph Copyright Greg A. Jennings 2012
