Annual Convention
The National Westmoreland Glass Collectors' Club will hold its 2017 annual convention on Friday and Saturday, June 9th and 10th. As it has been in the past, the convention will be held at the Westmoreland Community College, which is located at 145 Pavilion Lane in Youngwood, Pennsylvania. The college has been an excellent host for the convention providing ample convenient free parking. Admission to the show is free to all. It is a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new people, and trade Westmoreland glass. If you have glass to sell, please consider setting up and selling at the show. Tables and table coverings are free to those professional and casual dealers. The college provides security for your glass. If you wish to set up, please contact Ken Kosoglove at 724 744 3418 or The dealer set up date will be 8 am on Friday of the show with the show opening at 1 pm and ending at 5 pm. for that day. On Saturday, the show opens at 9:00 am and ends at 4 pm. The members' annual meeting and election officers will be held at 5 pm immediately after the show closes. An excellent lunch will be served by the college on Friday the price of $13.00 which includes the meal, drink, tax and tip. Please contact Ken as soon as possible if you plan on eating lunch on Friday. For those arriving early, a friendly get together will be held at the home of Alan and Karen Wells on Thursday evening, June 8, 2017. Their house is located at 128 Strasser Drive, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Local attractions include the Hannastown flea market that will be open on Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11. There are plenty of other attractions since the show is a mere thirty (30) minutes away from Pittsburgh including the antique malls. casino, the Flight 93 Memorial, Seven Springs Resort, Gateway Clipper, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, Kennywood Park, and Idlewild Park. There are numerous hotels in the New Stanton, Pennsylvania that you can may want to check out as a place to stay. There is an excellent array of restaurants to visit and eat. We hope to see each of you there for the fun and glass!!!
